Overseal Health Walking Group
These Tuesday walks are organised by the Overseal Health Walking Group. This group is not part of the Smisby Striders. These walks are open to all and no charge is made. They are of a similar length to the Smisby Striders walks.
Overseal Health walkers
All the walks are classed as strenuous on the health walk scale. As normal = 1.30pm at the junction of Daisy Lane & Hallcroft Avenue, Overseal (close to the doctor's surgery) DE12 6JF.
During Feb and March please check if the walks are going ahead in inclement weather.I know that many of you are hardy souls but we may have to cancel if the weather is extreme on a Tuesday afternoon. You can ring Dot Morson on 01283760639 or ring Rosliston Forestry Centre on 01283563483 to check.
if you have wellies & can walk 4 miles in them, it will be best to wear them for the foreseeable future. The ground is unlikely to dry out for sometime!

Dec 10 Meet @ Swadlincote Bus Park to catch the 1.34pm bus Arriva 29 to Blackfordby. Bus stop 3. 3 stiles, 3¾ miles . Christmas tea at Sharpe's Cafe. £10 per person. Sharpe's Christmas tea is now fully booked
Dec 17 Meet @ Ticknall Village Hall @ 1.30pm. Knowle Hill & Hangman's Stone. 3¼ miles. 1 stile. Please bring your own refreshments.
7th Jan Meet 1.30pm Toon's furniture warehouse DE11 9HQ. White Ladies Springs, Foxley wood & Tunnel woods. 1 stile 3 miles. Refreshments afterwards
14th Jan Meet 1.30pm Measham Library car park DE12 7HR Oakthorpe 1 stile 3 miles Refreshments afterwards
21st Jan Meet 1.30pm at Overseal Post Office to catch the Midland Classic 19 to Acresford. Refreshments @ Lakeside. No stiles 3 miles
4th Feb Meet 1.30pm at Ticknall Village Hall DE73 7JX at 1.30pm, Hangman's Stone & Knowle Hill. No stiles, Bring own refreshments. 3½ miles
