Hire Rates with effect from January 2019
Rates & Times of Hire
The Committee has decided, after 3 years of static hire rates, that it must now raise those prices. Over the past 3 years we have absorbed the cost of the increases in electricity, water and oil and with inflation starting to increase, it has become necessary to look carefully at our hire rates. We have done our best to keep increases in line with the RPI, but also mindful that we are serving our community with a great facility, which we want to see well used.
The Hall may be booked between the hours of 8.00am and Midnight on Saturdays and Sundays and from 7:00am to
Midnight, Monday to Friday.
Public Entertainment is only allowed until 11.30pm any night except on New Years Eve when it is 12:30am.
Private use by Residents of the Parish of Smisby (including WI and Parish Council)
- One hour – £12.00
- Up to 2.5 hours £15.00
- ½ day (4 hours) £30.00
- Full day (8 hours) £45
All other hirers
- One hour £15.00
- Up to 2.5 hours £30.00
- ½ day (4 hours) £40.00
- Full day (8 hours) £65.00
A surcharge of £5.00 will be levied for use of bouncy castles or similar and this is at Hirer’s own risk.
The specified rates cover use of the Hall, garden, kitchen and lavatories, consumables (excluding tea, coffee and any items belonging to other users). Tea towels are not provided. For regular club Hirers, limited storage may be made available in the common storage room at the side of the main hall at the discretion of the Trustees. A small annual fee may be charged for this facility, depending on the equipment being stored. Abuse of this privilege may lead to its withdrawal from clubs or, additional charges being imposed.
Bookings cancelled within 28 days of the event will forfeit 50% of the hiring fee. Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the event will forfeit 100% of the hiring fee unless, in both cases, the hall is relet.
